Basic Networking is a three hour course for beginners to networking and those seeking to reinforce effective networking habits. The course is designed for 10 or fewer participants to promote an intimate atmosphere and open participation. Basic Networking begins with an overview of why we network and allows participants to learn the concept of Connection Currency. Connection Currency is the value any given connection has to the parties in a network. Like all currencies, Connection Currency can rise or fall in value. Once this concept is understood, participants will learn a 4 step process to building their Connection Currency and the skills and attitude needed to create an effect network. The program is discussion based with several small group activates to stimulate cross-industry sharing of ideas. Drinks and passed appetizers are served until 6:30 and dessert and coffee is available for participants while they put their skills to use after the two hour training portion.
Networking for referrals is a target two hour training for people in sales or customer service fields. Appetizer, drinks, and a 30 minute networking event start this seminar. The next two hours are spent reviewing the 4 steps to effective networks before beginning a journey into the generation of referrals. Participants will learn how and when to ask for referrals, how to turn service successes into referral opportunities, and how to create advocates from your customers and network. Classes range from 10-15 people to encourage participation. Group discussions and smaller breakouts allow participants to reinforce lessons as they are learned and provide valuable perspective from many different fields. Coffee and dessert are served at the conclusion of the event to allow participants additional opportunities to meet one another and share ideas.
